CHANGES IN THIS ISSUE

As happens each year, an annual seasonal reanalysis has been undertaken based on estimates up to and including April 2013. No significant changes have occurred in this reanalysis, resulting in only minor revisions to the seasonally adjusted estimates.

REVISIONS

The original estimates for the previous month in this publication are always subject to revision as survey respondents provide updated information.

This is particularly evident in this issue where the original estimate for Food retailing has been revised down in April 2013. This revision is contributing to Total Retail being revised in April 2013 from a seasonally adjusted rise of 0.2% to a seasonally adjusted fall of 0.1%.

Revisions to seasonally adjusted estimates are also due to the concurrent methodology for deriving seasonal factors.
